The selected threshold will apply to all roles.

Nominations Steps

  1. Forms for each core team member role will be posted when nominations begin.

  2. Complete the form for the position in which you wish to run.

  3. Completed forms will be posted publicly in Discord for community review.

  4. A thread will be created for members to comment on each nomination. This will be for endorsements, questions, or general discussion.

How to Vote

Format:

  • Voting is multiple-choice.

  • Each Core Team role is a separate multiple-choice question.

Ballot Order:

  1. Activity: Candidates will be listed by community activity level: https://mee6.xyz/en/sagadao

  2. Seniority: If activity levels are tied, candidates will be listed by when they joined the SagaDAO Discord.

Winning Conditions

  • The candidate with the most votes who also meets the threshold wins.

  • If no candidate meets both requirements, a runoff election will occur.

Additional Election Rules

Runoff Elections
  • When: Runoff elections will begin immediately after the initial vote concludes.

  • Duration: Voting for runoff elections will last 3 days, just like the normal election period.

Format:

  • Only the top 2 candidates from the previous round will appear on the ballot.

  • Voting will follow the same multiple-choice format as the initial vote.

Winner:

  • The candidate with the majority of votes in the runoff election wins.

Tiebreakers in Runoff Elections:

  • If a tie occurs in the runoff election, the candidate who joined the SagaDAO Discord earlier will be declared the winner based on seniority.

Core Team Vacancies
  • In the event of a Core Team member stepping down, leaving, or passing away, a special election will be held promptly to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the term, following the standard nomination, voting, and runoff procedures.

  • If only one candidate steps forward for the role, an individual may run uncontested and be voted in via Realms with a simple majority vote for the remainder of the term.
